Complex, dense, powerful but delicate at the same time. Multi-dimensional. Orange peel, bread dough, brioche, and... much more in the aroma's. Loads of texture. Citrus (Bergamot?) and orange with spices (Kumquat). This wine continues to surprise. For us, one of the very best Rieslings in Germany! One-day skin maceration and 23 months aging with the yeast.
Riesling from Heiligen Blutberg from 68-year-old vines. Planted by great-grandfather. The oldest Rieslings from Heiligenblut. This wine is named after Bishop bonifatius who planted the first vines on the current estate in 746 AD. In memory of Martin and Christian's grandfather, this grand riesling has the Hannemann family's oldest label from 1925. From a very small plot and with an annual production of 374 bottles, the Bonfiatius Riesling is one of the estate's most exclusive wines.
