Michael Andres
For the two brothers Andres, Michael and Thomas, precision and craftsmanship are key. After taking over the family winery in 2015, they decided they weren’t going to reinvent the wheel, but did decidedly go their own way and started producing their own, outstanding and exciting style of natural wines. An ecological approach to nature, manual labour and the continuation of tradition all come together in their winemaking signature – which they’re pursuing organically certified, supplemented by biodynamic principles. Focusing mainly on Chardonnay, Pinot Noir and Riesling, they love the minerality and diversity of their wines, shaped by the diverse soil types and climates in the Pfälzer Mittelhaardt, which they express by intervening as little as possible in the development of their wines.
