This is a so-called Gutswein. An entry-level quality. Dark-transparent purple-red in colour. On the nose cherry, red berries, a bit of spiciness. Not the absolute finest Spätburgunder from the Palatinate, but one that provides taste and structure at this price range in German pinot noir.
