Chardonnay Maikammer 2023

Indisputably chardonnay. Younger plantings of Burgundy clones. Fine, slightly reductive ( disappeared after 15 minutes) and exquisite tropical fruit on the nose. Delicate barrel aging, refined and elegant. No coconut and vanilla but (lightly) roasted sugar and hazelnuts. On the palate subtle and elegant but with overwhelming filling. Sounds contradictory but it has it all! Orange, nuts, apricot, pear almond. Complex and the flavor goes on and on and on and on. The new style Seckinger (as well as the new style German chardonnay) has landed in Holland.
