Inge weiss 2022
Lovely blend with plenty of energy. Impression of pear and lychee along with very very fine acidity. Floral, spicy, low in alcohol (11%). Very drinkable. Bridging between ‘classic’ and ‘natural’. Only 12 mg So2 added. Short skin contact. Read more
Blend of Kerner, Müller-Thurgau, Chardonnay, Weissburgunder (Pinot Blanc) and a tiny amount of Goldmuskateller (5%).
Name is a tribute to both of our grandmothers with the same name. The goal for this wines is to create a wine that resembles the characters of these for us so important women: Down-to-earth. Authentic. Untroubled.
And same are the varieties that make up the most of the blend which are real Rheinhessen-rooted varieties. Kerner and Müller-Thurgau are often belittled, but if treated right, those wines can be a lot of fun.
And this is what the wine should be: easy to understand and easy to hang out with - but never boring and dull.
Also it resembles our style of wine really well: some parts made in oak, some parts made in stainless steel. Some with more skin contact, some with less. A long time on the lees without intervention and bottled unfiltered with just a tiny amount of sulfites added before the bottling.
