The 2020er Moselsürscher Spätburgunder Marbleous comes from 50% de-stemmed fruit picked on over 30-year-old vines in the steep south-east-facing Fahrberg and was aged in 2-year-old barrique for 24 months before being bottled unfiltered. This bright-red-colored wine offers a stunning even if initially reduced nose made of crushed wild strawberry, herbs, fine spices, and smoke. The wine is hugely deep, yet alluring and silky on the palate and leaves a gorgeous feel of ripe redcurrant and cooked strawberry in the long and incredibly focused and intense finish.
