Pinot Noir Haardt 2022
Deep(er) colour that suggests Bourgone... Roasted-, and cherry notes on the nose. Wonderful ensemble of fruit and new oak. No too much of anything. A touch of balsamic and great length. Jaillet just does it. Huge! Burgundy drinkers welcome! Read more
Pinot noir from vineyards near the small town of Haardt. An ‘Ortswein’, in other words. Only French vine plant material from Burgundy as the base for this red wine. Despite its only 12% alcohol, an absolute stunner. Structured and spicy like a high-class Burgundy. After short maceration with stems (whole-bunch) pressing with inox basket press maturation in (3) new Francois Frères barrels. For us, one of Germany's most Burgundian pinot noirs. Get it in a tasting with Twardowski or Huber! Bravo Philipp Jaillet!
